                              Aeschynanthus andersonii

On the second Saturday of each month (except December) this group meets at Ashwood Hall, 21A Electra Avenue Ashwood 3147 at 2.00 p.m.

The African violet is part of the Gesneriad family of plants and this group meets to discuss ‘the other Gesneriads’ such as Streptocarpus, Sinningias, Columneas, Aeschynanthus, Episcias, Petrocosmeas, Nemantanthus and many more.  The ‘other Gesneriads’ have very colourful flowers, ornamental foliage and grow in various sizes.

Meetings last for two hours and in this time those attending the Group discuss gesneriads they may have grown from seed or have hybridised themselves.

Newcomers to this Group are welcome.
